You're Invited!!!

This will be a night to remember.... or maybe a night you wish you could forget. Either way the greatest going-away party of the year will be Friday, January 30th at 8:00pm.

It all starts at here... There will be a little...And a lot of...
The setting will be...
And maybe later...
But most definitely there will be...
Yes, Britney will be there and no, I will not be crying (...or vise versa I'm not sure). If you are totally cool like me, and will be able to attend please post a comment below to RSVP. If you are totally uncool and basically dead to me, post a comment anyway and tell me all the ways you've disappointed me in my life.

**Call me on the 30th for exact room number info, dress to impress, and get ready to party like a rock star!!**

Boomerangs are from Australia?

What do you think of when you think of Australia?

For me the things that come to mind are... kangaroos, surfers, "a dingo ate your baby", Crocodile Dundee, "g'day mate", and blonde beautiful people. Something that has never come to mind... boomerangs.

But as April kindly informed me, EVERYONE knows boomerangs are Australian. So of course this had to somehow be incorporated into the my going-away invitations.

See a sneek peak below. Thanks for your help April!

Ahh... Relief!

For the first time in several weeks I feel like my life is back on track. And Melissa was right I do feel such peace about my decision... finally!

Impossible Decision

I have to make a huge decision and I feel totally confused and paralyzed with indecision. How do you make a decision where there is no clear cut answer? Either way I will have major regrets about the option I do not choose, and either way there are major pros for the option I do choose. But which outweighs the other?

Melissa says I should feel peace about my decision and that is how I know its correct for me, but my feelings now (for either choice) are anything but peaceful. Nothing feels totally right.

The real kicker is that the rest of my life will be substantially affected and changed depending on which I choose. I’ve made my pro/cons list, I have debated tirelessly and practically given myself an ulcer, but I'm no closer to deciding.

Time is running out... Tell me what would you do?

No More Frappacinos

Yesterday was my last day working at Barnes and Nobel Cafe. It has been almost two years (in April) of being a barista, and now the time has come to hang up my apron (literally). I made so many friends at B&N and had lots of fun... for the most part. Thanks ya'll!

For Sale by Owner

In preparing for our move at the end of the month, Catherine and I realize that we will soon be moving separately into smaller places. Now we have to sell some of the furniture that we purchased together during the two years we've lived together.

So if you know someone who is looking to open their home and hearts to (almost) new furniture please send the below links to them.

These pieces have been really good to us and I know they will treat you well too!

Hap.......py New Year!

This year I resolve to... (try to)...

Soften my heart to the things that frustrate me, and
Harden my body to a size that pleases me :)

New Years Eve-Eve

After A LOT of discussion, research, planning, more discussions, more research and re-planning… the group finally decided that for New Years 2009 (NY09) we would revisit our old stopping grounds and go back to where it all began: Austin, TX.

The Group (pictured above sans me, Berko and Josh) met up on New Years Eve-Eve and immediately got to it. In Austin lingo, of course, that meant deciding whether to eat at the Trudy’s on 30th or Chili’s on Lamar (the only two viable options). Fortunately we had already made plans to go to Trudy's, so we did not have to play the “Voting”/“Abilene” game for 30 minutes like we usually do in order to make any type of decision. So after taking pics in our NY party hats, and grabbing a party cup, we head out to eat.

As all Longhorns and Austinites know, at Trudy’s there is a Mexican Martini two drink limit. And unless you are planning to do the Trudy’s Trifecta (where you meet your two drink limit at each of the three Austin locations) you have got to get in and out of the resturant fast or you will certainly lose your buzz by the time dinner arrives. For this reason we were a little hesitant when we were told there would be an hour to hour and a half wait for a group of 10 people. Who knew seating large parties at Trudy’s was a problem? ...Uh, Everyone!

Luckily, Lisa (who is always looking for a deal) had eagle eyes that night and was able to find us a table in the downstairs bar within 10 minutes. So we ate and drank and there was general merriment…

From there we went to 6th Street and, as anybody who hasn’t been to downtown Austin in awhile will do, we all went a little nutz! Here’s what I can remember (see pics below): cab ride from Berko’s with the French-speaking Arab driver… Rumplemintz shots at The Library… Beer and pictures… Flaming Dr. Pepper Shots at the only bar in Austin that will still do them (the name escapes me now)… Dancing FOREVER at the bar with the glass floor and no ceiling… My feet hating life and me… More shots coming from who knows where... Walking in the most painful shoes across Austin 4th street… Crying with Matt Smith about my fears… More beers and pictures… Walking back from to hotel bare-foot… Hepatitis B in my feet (not really)… Post Party turns Dance Party turns Try-To-Rip-Off-Jason’s-Clothes (literally) Party in the hotel… No More Pictures…

Needless to say, the next morning I was feeling too hot!
